Update on Garneau supportive housing project
The league recently received an update from the City of Edmonton on the supportive housing project at 11049 and 11053 83 Avenue.
The City purchased the property in 2020 with the intent of developing supportive housing. Council approved a rezoning application from RA9 to RA8 on July 6, 2021 and the site was listed for sale below-market that fall. Though the City did not receive any suitable proposals at that time, they now have an opportunity to move ahead with the original vision.
