Scona District Plan Nov

Your planning chair and planning committee member attended a meeting as part of the Scona District Plan Nov 15 SDCC meeting to hear from and participate in the discussion with the District Planning Team.

The draft District Policy and the draft Scona District Plan that were discussed are important documents that, when approved in their final version, will guide change and growth in our district for years to come. The final versions will be available in spring 2024 and are expected to be approved by City Council in May.

Important Dates and Deadlines related to District Planning:

    1. Tuesday, Nov 21: provide comments on the draft review documents on the draft District Policy and Draft Scona District Plan to sconadistrict.cc@gmail.com for inclusion in the SDCC input. We hope to have time to circulate the revised documents to SDCC leagues for comment prior to submitting them to the City. This is what we submitted on behalf of TGCL.

    2. Thursday, November 30, 5-8 pm: Open house on District Planning at Queen Alexandra Community League Hall

    3. Friday, December 1: deadline for submitting comments on District Planning to the City online or to districtplanning@edmonton.ca.
