Scona District Community Council Position on City Big City Move Targets
The Scona District Community Council (of which Garneau is a member) recently provided their position and recommendation on City Plan Big Moves Targets to City Council’s Executive Committee.
These include:
Review and refine Big Move targets to ensure relevant data is being measured and monitored to better inform future progress,
Establish accurate, current baseline indicators to measures for all Big Move targets, where possible by District, and provide an update in 2024.
Provide a reporting schedule for regular annual or bi-annual measurements of progress toward achieving each of the Big Move targets.
Monitor target indicators by District, wherever possible, to identify local challenges and opportunities, track progress city wide and adapt to emerging opportunities and trends,
Use the connections identified in the report to mitigate negative impacts to other Big Moves to ensure sustainable outcomes.
